9. PLAGE DE LA MARINE DE DAVIA
Plage de la Marine de Davia (or Plage de Vignola), on the cape’s north side, is a charming, sheltered cove with soft, non-sticky sand and clear, calm water perfect for swimming and snorkelling. The bay offers protection from winds and strong currents, making it a safe place for children, though there is no lifeguard on duty. While storms can bring seaweed ashore, the enchanting blue sea and archetypally Mediterranean vistas more than compensate.
Note that there are no facilities at the beach, and both dogs and smoking are forbidden. If you plan to swim from the rocks, bring water shoes for extra comfort.

ACCESS AND PARKING
Like the previous two beaches, Plage de la Marine de Davia can be reached from Calvi in about half an hour. Simply follow the same directions as before; however, approximately 50 meters before reaching the Marine de Davia train station, turn right and continue northeast for 750 meters until you arrive at a small car park overlooking the cove. For those opting for the coastal train service, the beach is a pleasant 15-minute walk (about 950 meters) from the station.

Its coarse sand and multicoloured pebbles lead into clear, refreshing water, great for long-distance laps and aquatic activities. The area remains largely unspoiled, with few crowds even in peak season. As it is unsupervised, be cautious when enjoying the sea, especially in windy conditions when gusts create large waves and stronger currents.

Behind, majestic mountains provide a striking backdrop to this untouched site, void of facilities. Even in high season, crowds are sparse, and the atmosphere is peaceful, ideal for those who appreciate Corsica’s wild, authentic nature.
