Light and fluffy, Fiadone is a delicious lemon-flavoured cheesecake traditionally served at Corsican dinner tables after the main meal. Easy to make and low in calories, this melt-in-your-mouth dessert is made of brocciu, a fresh goat’s or sheep’s milk cheese, eggs, and lemon. Once cooked, it retains a somewhat crumbly and moist texture while a fresh lemon flavour gives it a lift.

Light and creamy, Fiadone is a classic Corsican delicacy. Traditionally, it was made in winter, when the juicy brocciu cheese is produced, but you can just as well enjoy it in the summer months by simply replacing brocciu with brousse or ricotta.
Although old and time-tested, the recipe is very simple and the cake is easy to make.
You can serve it with fresh fruit or a fruit coulis and for the ultimate Corsican experience pair it with a glass of delicious chilled Muscat de Cap Corse.
A second serving of this Corsican sweet treat is guaranteed!
